Fix Etsy thumbnail cropping on listing images

Etsy search and shop thumbnails crop toward square. A photo that looks fine on the listing page can lose the product’s top or sides in the card. Fix it by exporting 1:1 with 8–12% margin, at about 2000 px on the long side for zoom.
Thumbnail crop checklist

1. Check the crop risk
Run the Etsy checker on the same file you upload. Edge-crop warnings mean the thumbnail will likely trim the product.
2. Reframe, then re-check
Pad or crop to 1:1 with intentional margin. Do not rely on Etsy to pad for you. Re-check after export.
